Kai Tak 啟德
Kai Tak Mansion and Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) had been closely linked together. However, due to the reconstruction in Kai Tai area, the special relationship has gone since last year, so have the tenants of the mansion.The different destiny between two places become the starting point of the artwork.
In the mansion, there are a variety kinds of goods left behind. They seem to be useless, but they in fact carry countless life stories and memories. And the rust on them reflects the length of great times of tenants in the mansion.
Through de-rusting, the vestige of the old goods will be eliminated, returning to their original appearance and build the "home" that i explored in Kai Tak.Rust detached from the goods and exist independently.
啟德大廈面臨重建，居民及老店各散東西。啟德兩地的身世之不同成作品的源頭。
我在啟德遺址探索以往居民生活的痕跡，發現記載無數故事的舊物卻成為居民所遺下的垃圾，東西散落。
舊物因無用而鏽，鏽而無用，鏽見證時間的流逝，成為其載體。
透過去鏽，把舊物去掉使用痕跡，並建構成我於啟德所探索的「家」，鏽則脫物而自立。
